I am ashamed to say I have yet to go to Tecumseh, in Chllicothe. It is right down the road, maybe this is the year. I have long admired Graham Greene and his work. Sure seems like he goes farther back than 1990 but who is keeping track of years.

Graham Greene is a most recognizable face. I have seen him act in a number of the productions listed in the article.

The Oneida are a Native American nation well represented in upstate NY in Oneida and Jefferson Counties. Many of my fellow Ganandigan Society members are proudly Oneida. There is a casino and entertainment lodging complex in Verona, NY (Turning Stone) which is owned and run by he Oneida. When I was active in the community of commerce, The Oneida and Onondaga nations comprised a large percentage of my client base. Good people, one and all.

Thanks for a good read Kavika, my brother in spirit.

Enoch niijii, thank you for visiting. The Oneida have a very extensive representation in NY and in Canada. I have never had the chance to visit up state NY, so I'll have to have you as my ''guide''...

One of my favorite actors! I especially loved him in Northern Exposure. His character seemed to be the only sane member of the community, and yet, one of the most interesting. I always looked forward to his appearance.

In all his performances, he seems to be such a strong, commanding presence who owns the stage. There also seems to be such a quiet, understated decency and wisdom to the man. We should have more celebs like him.

I've always associated the Oneida with NYS. They add so much to the upstate economy with their casino. It's so good to see them thriving here!

Sydney, thank you for visiting my friend. Graham is all that you said he is. His role in ''The last of his tribe'' was outstanding and a true story. Medicine River was another of his great rolls and of course ''Dances with Wolves''.

Good evening Kavika, thank you for the seed. It had me thinking of something. There re film festivals that highlight films directed, produced, and written by Black Americans, Hispanic/Latinos, and Asians. I was wondering if there was such a festival that features films written, directed, and produced by Native Americans. I am asking this because as you know, films made in Hollywood often portray people of color in certain ways, even though those way are oftentimes not true. With these film festivals, those of us of color get the opportunity to tell our stories, our way, and make sure the people represented are portrayed accurately. Thanks.

mschargerfan, thanks for stopping by. There is and has been a lot of stereotyping of Native-Amercan's as well as other people of color. There are a number of of Festivals for NA's.

American Indian Film Institute, NA Film and video Festival, Redfork NA Festival and the Oklahoma Native American Film Festival. This year Sundance will provide a Native-American Lab. aimed at providing fellowships to Native-Americans.

Kavika niijii. Graham Greene. Say no more. His accomplishments are well known to me and I consider him to be one of America's finest actors.

As I recall, he had a presence at the Wounded Knee actions a few years ago.

It is good for us that you keep us aware of Native American accomplishments.

Migwetch for spot lighting him. He is worthy of our attention and respect.

I agree with all of the above comments. He's a wonderful actor - recognizable immediately. His characters are always positive and thought provoking. He easily portrays Native Americans from the past, but also brings them forward, showing them modern programs and films in a positive light - just like everyone else. Faulty, honorable, and strong. Not a big film goer anymore, when I see Graham Greene's name in the cast, I go.

He has always been a favorite actor of mine. I love his delivery as a comedic actor when he delivers a straight line, and his intensity when he is sincere.

A great success story, and he always seems to be true to himself. I would love to meet him personally.
