John Bird, of the Blackfoot Nation has written this opinion piece with deep feelings that go back to the the killing of his Great grandfather and  Great grandmother by the United States Army at what is known as the ''Baker Massacre.''

His opinion is one that I hold in high regard and he speaks for many American, no matter their color.
