An interesting selection of Presidents. Some Presidents considered by many to be our ''greatest'' presidents didn't make the cut.

The esteem in which a person is held depends entirely on the perspective of the holder.

Nice article.

Isn't it a shame that for this country, considered so great by the world, that so little has been done.

Thanks for stopping by screminmimi, it is a shame that so few did something to try to right the wrongs.

Interesting list. Nixon is the one who surprised me the most. It's always good to be reminded that people have many facets.

I'm not surprised Gerald Ford's not on the list. I knew one of his former speech writers who accompanied him to a reservation. He told me Ford made one of the most idiotic comments he ever heard said to Native Americans. After giving Ford a gift, my friend said, Ford responded with: "You're not going to be an Indian giver, are you?" Stupid.

Clinton and Obama being on the list are no surprise. Carter surprises me in that he didn't do enough to be held in higher esteem. His mistake. Thanks Kavika.

Thanks for visiting onefan51..That statement by Ford had to be one of the most insulting and stupid things I've ever heard. Thanks for that bit of information.

Nixon's name on the list surprises me. But I am glad for what he did for Native Americans.

I think that Nixon's name surprises many people, but all Presidents had many sides to them. This was one of his better ones.
