Although a small per cent of the U.S. Population, American Indians made their voices heard in the recent elections. The politicians are now courting our vote as seen as both President Obama and Mitt Romney met with American Indians leaders around the country.
President Obama has been doing this for the last four years. The Republicans are just now catching on that we vote and can swing elections as seen in Montana in getting John Tester re-elected. In California where Mary Bono-Mack lost her seat after stooping to new low in attacking her rival about being un-American because he attended a meeting with American Indians years ago in putting an American Indian slant on Thankgiving. Races in N. Dakota, Minnesota and different areas around the country saw a huge turn out of American Indians voting Democratic.
The last few days crystallized why the Indian vote is Democratic.
The ''free stuff'' statement made by Mitt Romney is a good example. A better example is the Bill O'Reilly show the last week. One night he had on a guest and they were discussing the Headdress worn by some white model and neither one saw a problem with it. Of course Bill, being the great historian that he is couldn't understand why American Indians were upset with it. Nothing says ''Native American Heritage Month'' like a skinny white model with very little clothing wearing a headdress.
Bill, let me explain to you the significance of the headdress. Each feather is awarded to the person wearing it for bravery in battle or a significant accomplishment by that person. Now, since the Victoria Secret model was wearing a headdress that dragged on the floor she must be the youngest battle veteran and in her short life has accomplished more then any human alive.
You see Bill, since you are a great supporter of the Military it would be like me wearing a Silver Star having not earned it. Do you get the connection. I guess that you didn't since you let the ''guest'' run his mouth off on something he knew nothing about.
Next you had another on the Jay Leno show, Dennis Miller talking about something that he had no knowledge of. Sacheen Littlefeather. Yes, back in the day, 1973, Marlon Brando refused to accept his Academy Award because of the treatment of American Indians. Yup, the ''Second Wounded Knee'' was being played out. He sent Sacheen to read a statement as to why he was refusing it.
On your recent program Miller called her a ''stripper''. Well done, she is a grandmother now and ''blackballed'' from Hollywood for what she did. Yet she has shown more backbone then you and Miller combined.
Jay since you were alive in 1973 you should know about the ''Second Wounded Knee''...
Well Bill and Jay, just keep letting your guests shoot off their mouths on things they know nothing about. It makes you look like an ass.
Thank you for helping President Obama win re-election.
CoH will apply.
